The Alabama Jubilee is a Hot-Air Balloon Rally (circa. 60 pilots) held every Memorial Day Weekend at Point Mallard Park in Decatur, Alabama. Great activities and experiences for the whole family. Attendance averages between 50,000 to 100,000.

Modern dual-line stunt kites originated in the military. In 1942, Commander Paul Edward Garber designed an inexpensive moving-target kite for the U.S. Navy to use in gunnery practice. Before then, according to Garber, gunnery practice primarily consisted of shooting at clouds.

Here's the picture of Bell's Ring Kite . The article from National Geographic's "Inventors and Discoverers" had only this one photo and only a brief mention in the article. The caption read "The ring kite, made of tetrahedral-shaped trusses, takes to the air in 1908."
